Not much, but it would be enough if everyone followed it ...

As simple as it sounds, just throw garbage in the trash can. The easiest way with a simple answer. Of course, you can travel deep into your past and try to remember how often and on what occasions you have left plastic and garbage in nature. Typical occasions are hanging around and chilling out in parks on park benches. Binge drinking, barbecuing with friends, smoking in the car on the highway. During sports ! You can think of a lot. Then you actually did your part to make Planet Earth a bit dirtier. In total, there are more people in my opinion. which themselves have made no major contribution to plastic pollution.

As I said, take the trash can, if there is no one, put the trash in your pocket. If you don't have pockets, keep it in your hand until a trash can comes.

Now of course you can make it even more difficult for people, which then limits the quality of life. At least that's how some see it. Whenever you move on forest and dirt roads, pick up the garbage and the plastic on the edge of the path. Even a look in the near margin 1-2m. But is that the point of the fact that "you" want to remove garbage or should have ruthlessly dropped the other one in front of you. But you could ask yourself in the past if the plastic has withered, faded and rotten, then it has been there for a long time. Why is there no company that cleans the paths on behalf of the city at least once a month or quarterly? So you could take a picture of one or the other piece of plastic rubbish and send it to your mayor with the approximate location data and ask him why there is old rubbish on the paths and why nobody comes to these areas for cleaning. Your mayor will be informed directly that the city has problems. Your parents pay taxes, maybe you yourself. It is a right to question that. For yourself you can see that there are a lot of cities for which environmental protection only exists on paper. Nobody will have a plausible answer to it and, at best, will look for an excuse. At this point you can say pick up garbage "ugh", but in Sweden or Finland citizens' groups have been founded that have made jogging a plogging. The group runs together and everyone actually has a garbage bag in hand. In the end, the collected works will be distributed via social media channels. Good thing, has rubbed off on other countries.

You can do this: "You can call a petition for your region" - You can also ask the citizens in your street what you think about it and what solutions are in your head when it comes to this type of problem. Take a pair of your photos and a small section of the map so everyone knows which corner is affected.

What else, clearly most of those who have been dealing with this matter for a long time will say, come become such an extreme anti-plastic Yankee / nerd. If you want to change your own quality of life, please go ahead. It is simple and logical: "Go to a shop and avoid as much plastic as possible for your purchase. You can do this by simply having 3 or more jute bags with you every time you buy these environmentally friendly, colorful cotton fabric bags. You can use them to store fruit , Vegetables, as well as bread and bread rolls. If you take plastic bags, you can simply check after shopping whether they are still clean and in order.

Briefly represented in numbers:

A small supermarket has 1000 customers a day, a large 200-300 an hour. 1000 customers have jute bags with them. So you can avoid 3000 plastic bags per shop and day. There are 12,000 supermarkets in Germany alone:

12,000 x 3000 = 36,000,000 = 36 million plastic bags per day and country would be avoided in this way. This example shows a lower global mean.

So if you do use one or the other plastic bag, then simply several times and until it is no longer good. If you manage to use a plastic bag 30 times, you have theoretically saved 29 bags for yourself, your conscience and the dirty nature. Another question is whether this will reduce plastic bag production. Since you are not one of those who throw plastic on the street, plastic is actually not a problem again. Technically , the trash bags development is at a point where there are already organic trash bags. Just like with handkerchiefs. The organic bags rot, faster and without residue, but until the series production goes, the world is even more screwed. Too expensive, the argument of the industry.

As mentioned at the beginning, it is sufficient to simply throw your rubbish in the trash can.

But even that is no longer an option today. The garbage can design designers have had a big problem for 30-40 years and are partly to blame for all the rubbish around the parks. Only on the ground does the wind carry the light plastic to corners that are difficult to access.

It is so , for the first time I became aware of it when I threw garbage away in Barcelona. Every cursed trash can had a swing lid. Just why? What's inside stays inside. What does this little difference mean? The Spaniards have competent people in this industry who can think along and apparently adapt to the circumstances faster than others.

Of course, I do not know all countries and the construction of the trash can in public spaces.

So what went wrong regionally in Germany?

Go through the parks yourself and to the places where people / citizens / travelers stay and linger. There is always a lot of rubbish on the floor around the trash can without a swing lid.

You know it from television, or it is suggested that those were the bum who were looking for empty deposit bottles!

It's not like that, it's birds, especially magpies and ravens are very active when it comes to finding edible food. The nice thing about it, other animals learn from each other when it comes to where the neighbor gets his food in the area.

Why, because the trash cans in Germany do not have a heavy "swing lid". So easy.

Here's another thought, why this country is not adapting to change.

There are hotspots everywhere, that is the places where it can be proven that more people hang out and spend more time in the day than in other places. It's a good thing there is a lot of people doing mischief, something must be different in this place. But it is the places where the trash can overflows after a few hours and the garbage is distributed around the hotspot in no time at all. This has been happening for many years. The problem is not the large amount of rubbish, but the city does not register that larger rubbish bins have to be placed in such places. This problem is called mismanagement at the management level, between whom the bin is emptied and who are responsible, there are at least 5 other managers with management claims and a big salary who should have noticed these circumstances long ago. The last one is the garbage man, you would tell him to photograph conspicuously full garbage cans, document them and hand them over to his supervisor every week, then we would already be where other countries have been for a long time. At this point, one has to assume that with 10,000 garbage collectors, there are probably hundreds who have submitted such suggestions to their superiors. But once again it has stayed where responsibility is at least capitalized on paper. What can I say?

Garbage belongs in the trash can.
